March 13, 1989, marked the birth of a musical rising star, Joane “Jo” Archer, whose talents transcend the realms of singing, songwriting, and motivation. Hailing from the vibrant Trinidad & Tobago, she has found her home on the captivating island. Jo Archer’s music, characterized by its fusion of Reggae, Pop, R’n’b, and Dancehall is a testament to her versatility and artistry.

From a young age, Jo Archer turned to music as a medium to express her innermost emotions and thoughts. Her remarkable vocal prowess was serendipitously discovered by her mother, Verldene Archer-Quashie, who overheard her enchanting melodies echoing from the bathroom when she was only twelve years old. Recognizing her daughter’s innate talent, Verldene motivated Jo to channel her passion into the community youth group and later the secondary school choir.

Jo Archer’s affinity for music was undeniable, leading her to pursue a formal education in Vocal Production at the prestigious Berklee Online College of Music. Her dedication and talent in the field earned her a covered Celebrity Scholarship, solidifying her commitment to her craft.

In addition to her vocal training, Jo Archer further honed her knowledge of the music industry by pursuing studies in “Music Business/Industry” at The PointBlank Online School of Music. Her well-rounded education equipped her with the skills to navigate the dynamic world of music.

Her musical journey is a rich tapestry woven with inspiration from iconic Artists such as Bob Marley, Beres Hammond, Duane Stephenson, Richie Spice, Luciano, Gramps Morgan, Nadia Batson, Jessie J, Alexandra Burke, Celine Dion, and Ed Sheeran. These influences have contributed to the unique and soul-stirring sound that defines Jo Archer’s music.

Jo describes herself as a music enthusiast and believes music should emanate from the heart. Her artistic openness and willingness to explore new horizons have positioned her as a formidable new force in the music industry, as showed by her booking in the latest Edition of Reggae Sumfest 2023 in Montego Bay (Jamaica), the biggest reggae festival on Earth. One of her guiding mottos, “BEFORE THE REWARD, THERE MUST BE LABOUR,” encapsulates her unwavering commitment to her mission.

As Jo Archer continues her musical odyssey, she remains poised to embrace every opportunity that comes her way. Her journey is not just about music: it’s about forging a profound connection with audiences worldwide through her heartfelt melodies and lyrics. While her great work continues, Jo has recently released a beautiful song featuring veteran reggae artist Richie Spice titled “Once Upon a  Time”.
